Remember:
If you intend to purchase a number of tickets for use by several of your staff members, please purchase each person’s tickets in a separate order, so that the name and other details (especially the access and dietary needs) of the person attending the event are attached to the appropriate tickets, and name tags, certificates, etc are in the correct names. If this is a problem or if you wish to purchase a larger number of tickets please email secretary@ecawa.wa.edu.au or call 0411241261 to make your individual arrangements.
FAQ: Why are there no Non Member Tickets listed for the ECAWA 2019 Carnival of Computing?
We have made only Member Tickets / Student Member Tickets (for Tertiary Students) available in an attempt to help you save some PL dollars.
For various reasons, we need to make sure that the majority of those attending events are covered by an ECAWA membership.
The Non Member Tickets are usually priced at: the cost of member ticket + the cost of individual membership + an administration fee (It takes more work accounting side to sort out the various parts of “package” like that). This would mean that a $75.00 Member Ticket would become a $161.50 Non Member Ticket.
Instead we say “Buy your Membership and then buy your event ticket.”
Doing it the way we have means that regionally based people in particular save money as they can choose an Individual Country Membership instead of the Individual Membership in a package.
This means a person based in Bunbury or Geraldton (examples only) would pay $66.00 for an Individual Country Membership plus $75.00 for a Member Ticket – so $141.00 in all.
The savings are greater if several people from the same school are attending as they can all be covered by a School Membership at $165.00 – with no limit on the number of staff from the school who use the membership in a year.
FAQ: Some tickets are listed as being available to both ECAWA Members and Prospective Members…. but what is a “Prospective Member”?
An exception to the ticketing arrangements discussed above are the tickets listed for ECAWA Members / Prospective Members. … but what is a “Prospective Member”?
A “Prospective Member” is really just someone who is not a member of ECAWA, and not on the staff of a member school – but we hope may decide to join ECAWA sometime soon!
FAQ: How can I check that all my tickets are for the correct venue? I don’t want to accidentally book a Masterclass in Bunbury followed by a Masterclass in Karratha!
The tickets for each location have been colour coded. Perth tickets have a dark green border and ticket icon, Bunbury tickets have a dark blue border and ticket icon, Geraldton tickets have a light blue border and ticket icon, etc.
When you tickets are in your “cart” please do a final check to make sure that your chosen tickets are all the same colour – and so at the same location! But – please remember that most locations are using more that one venue, so check the venue for each presentation.
