The Polly Farmer Foundation is an aspirant learning program for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students across Australia.

For 25 years it has been delivering high quality educational programs to thousands of students.

This year 17 primary programs began a year’s long Inquiry Learning Professional Development with Trevor MacKenzie in Canada that looked at the way our learning projects can be co designed with students and address ICT capabilities and the general capabilities curriculum.

About the Presenter:

Anna Ritzema is a STEM educator working at the Polly Farmer Foundation.

With 20 years experience in teaching, Anna has worked in regional Australia and the UK, developing and leading STEM programs in schools and organisations.

In 2020 Anna Ritzema was WA Science and Engineering Teacher of the Year (STAWA), the Director General’s finalist as Woman of the Year and in 2021 was named as School’s Plus Commonwealth Bank Finalist. Anna leads Tambrey Primary School as Teacher Development School for Science and STEM, and the school was a finalist in the Governor’s STEM Awards in 2022.
