This presentation will provide a briefing and activity session during which the CSER project officer for Western Australia, Steven Payne, will introduce the CSER digital technologies programs, highlight some of the activities (including many that require no technology) and explain how they can support teachers with the new curriculum.
About CSER
At the Computer Science Education Research (CSER) Group, we have a Digital Technologies Education program available to support Australian schools and teachers with implementation of the Australian Curriculum: Digital Technologies.
Our extensive program includes:
• Free online courses
• Downloadable teacher training materials
• A free national digital technologies lending library
• Learning and teaching resources
• Community-based support
Our programs are linked to Australian Curriculum: Digital Technologies and professional learning certificates, mapped to AITSL, are available.

About the Presenter:
Steven Payne has worked as a teacher and education consultant in the UK and WA, supporting schools to make effective use of ICT across all learning areas and improve learning outcomes.
He currently works as the WA project officer for the CSER Digital Technologies Program, and is available to provide free digital technologies PL to teachers across WA.
Steven is employed by University of Adelaide.
