BE THERE – #ECAWA2025 State Conference

Make sure you get along to the #ECAWA2025 State Conference this weekend.

Why?

Remember: The #ECAWA2025 State Conference is being held THIS coming weekend, Saturday the 22nd and Sunday the 23rd of February at Christ Church Grammar School, Preparatory School.

– The presentation by David Donnelly, Principal Consultant Curriculum and Assessment for Technologies at the School Curriculum and Standards (SCSA) who will beshowing you what you need to know and help you in planning for the implementation of the new Digital Technologies curriculum for Pre-primary to Year 10, from the start of 2026, in his presentation Digital Technologies Familiarisation- what has changed in the new Digital Technologies curriculum for Pre-primary to Year 10

– The presentation by Courtney Weaver of Sprok.it Technologies Education and Simon Fittock of AISWA where they will be speaking about Digital Literacy: A Case Study of WA Schools and promise that you will come away from their presentation with practical support and suggestions on how to implement a school-wide approach to Digital Literacy.

We know that schools get are likely to get more benefit from staff members attending PL if several teachers are able to attend together,  but we also recognise that the PL budget might not stretch as far as you’d like, so we have an offer for schools that might help.

The conditions that apply are:

This offer applies to the purchase of 2 Day tickets only.
The three tickets may only be used by staff members of your school.
The free ticket covers Conference attendance only and does not include ECAWA membership.

So how do you get the free ticket?

As soon as the the school has purchased two 2 Day tickets, send an email to the Secretary secretary@ecawa.wa.edu.au to claim the third ticket. You will be sent a link to a form that the person using the free ticket will need to complete before the Conference.

The next General Meeting of the Educational Computing Association of Western Australia Inc will be held on:

Saturday the 22nd of February, beginning at 8.30am, at Christ Church Grammar School Preparatory School.

A light breakfast will be available from 8.00am for those members who complete the online attendance / response form. (available here soon)
