Aurecon believes that the engineering, science and technology industries must work together and lead efforts to make STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths subjects) more accessible and appealing to young students.

The Aurecon Bridge Building Competition encourages students to unlock their potential by engaging with STEM early. You can find more information about the competition on the website  at https://www.aurecongroup.com/careers/bridge-building-competition 

The Aurecon Bridge Building Competition is open to Years 8 and 9 students in Australia (Years 9 and 10 students in New Zealand).

Entry to the Aurecon Bridge Building Competition is free, and using materials supplied by Aurecon, students are tasked with designing and constructing a model bridge using the construction guidelines provided.

Judging days take place in September, and all competitors are invited to gather at venues across Australia and New Zealand where bridges are load tested and assessed for visual appeal, workmanship, creativity and functionality.

Registrations close on May 20, 2019.
