A unique opportunity has presented itself to teachers of Digital Technologies within Western Australia.
At short notice, ECAWA has been able to obtain the expertise of Associate Professor Dr James Curran and Bruce Fuda, who will facilitate a 2-day Master Class on the Western Australian Digital Technologies Curriculum.
This is a rare and exciting opportunity for Western Australia teachers to explore in depth from the writers of the Australian Digital Technologies curriculum.
Participants will, through a detailed coverage of the key concepts of the curriculum, develop a sound understanding of the approaches to delivering the Digital Technologies in Western Australian Schools.
The workshop is supported by a series of practical and reflection activities that promote and link the content of the workshop to classroom practice.
Content covered includes
- Unpacking the Curriculum – key concepts and ideas
- Algorithm Design
- Programming – Implementation of algorithmic solutions
- Resources and activities for classroom use
- Planning a school-wide scope and sequence
- Implementation requirements
- Extending students and differentiated learning
- Linkages to the Australian Computing Academy
Places are very strictly limited to ensure a comfortable group atmosphere, and will fill very quickly, so register now.
