Young ICT Explorers 2016
Become a judge at 2016’s most inspiring ICT/Digital Technologies schools competition.
We would like to invite you to self-nominate as a judge for the 2016 season of Young ICT Explorers (YICTE). YICTE is Australia’s premier technology engagement program for students in years 3 – 12, designed to encourage school students to be technology innovators rather than end users. The long term objective of the program is to spark a life-long interest in technology that contributes to an increase in enrolments in ICT tertiary courses nationally. Ultimately we hope to boost the skills and talents for the ICT industry in Australia
This year, YICTE will be held in eight locations in Australia – Hobart, Perth, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Townsville and Adelaide. This year we expect over 1400 students to participate in the competition, and again, the first place winners from each judging event will be invited to compete in the National Finals event to be held in Sydney in November.

We would like to invite you to indicate your area of expertise, age category you would like to judge and events you would like judge at on the nomination form.
Please fill-in the Self Nomination Form by 31 July.
While judges are welcome to nominate to attend numerous YICTE events please understand that we are unable to cover travel expenses.
We will then review the nominations and provide in-principle confirmations. Please note that final confirmations will be sent after the students have submitted their full project documentation in the second half of July.
The Judging side of the YICTE events day typically runs from 8:00am – 1:30pm

- Canberra, ACT – Saturday 10th of September
- Adelaide, SA – Saturday 24th of September
