Help! I am teaching Year 12 Computer Science!
Presenter: Mike Ross, L3 Classroom Teacher at Ballajura Community College
Are you teaching Computer Science this year and still not too sure what DFDs or ERDs are, or how to effectively teach them?
Mike Ross is running a practical workshop on these topics for teachers of Computer Science for new teachers, those who might be a bit rusty and those who would just like to see how other people are doing things.
Mike will be introducing his own concepts for analysing DFDs, and participants will have the opportunity to work through practical examples.
Generic teaching handouts will be supplied.
Mike Ross has over 10 years’ experience as a teacher of Information Systems and Computer Science and is a Level 3 Classroom Teacher and teacher of computing at Ballajura Community College. He has been involved in both marking and examination panels and has held the position of Chief Marker and Chief Examiner over the past few years.
Mike currently is a member of the Computer Science CAC panel and has been involved in the design and implementation of the current and forthcoming Computer Science syllabus.
Mike lives in sunny Perth with his wife, youngest child, a poodle called Frodo and a collection of 90 cactii!
