Masterclass – now closed
Harrisdale Primary School is pleased to host ECAWA’s Carnival of Computing Masterclass with a focus on Early Childhood Technologies Curriculum and ICT.
Hannah Dodds is a Deputy Principal, leading Digital Technologies and ICT, with recent teaching experience in the Early Years.
The Masterclass will focus on the differences between the Technologies Curriculum and the ICT General Capabilities, and how these can look in an Early Childhood context.
The day will be balanced with an overview of SCSA WA Curriculum alongside hands-on activities and exploration time to allow attendees to take practical ideas back to their own context

Objectives:
- To understand the SCSA Technologies Curriculum in greater detail and differentiate between ICT General Capabilities.
- To learn about how this looks in an Early Childhood context and where to find support resources.
- To experience networking opportunities with other Early Childhood educators and collaborate to share ideas.
- To develop a range of strategies/activities to use in a classroom context that target SCSA Technologies Curriculum and ICT General Capabilities

10.00am – Morning Tea (provided)
10:30am – SCSA Technologies Curriculum, Teaching, Learning and Assessment, Early Childhood Robotics Sandpit
12:30pm – Lunch (provided)
1:30-3:30 – ICT in Early Childhood – Practical ideas and apps to use in your English or Mathematics lessons.
