Tickets are now available for Getting Started with iPads – an ACEC2012 Pre Conference Workshop, a half day workshop on the morning of Tuesday the 2nd of October, at Wesley College.

The presenter is Dr Jenny Lane.

This workshop will begin at 8.00am and conclude at 11.45 am.

Please note that tickets to Pre Conference Workshops are available to all interested educators.

Morning tea will be provided for participants, and, for those who book both the morning and afternoon workshops, a ‘working lunch’ will also be provided.

Getting stated with iPads

This workshop is designed for beginners and will cover the basic introductory steps of iPad use. It will be a hands on workshop.

Please indicate when you purchase your ticket if you will be bringing your own iPad and we will advise you what apps you need to load.

Participants will be provided with a set of resources generated from the TPACK iPads in Schools Project.

We will look at:

· Effective iPad use in classroom settings

· How to set up and sync your iPad

· Using and managing apps

· How to select and review apps

· Using iPads for students with special needs

· iPad work flow

· Creating teacher a range of made resources including screencasts, videos, screenshots and epubs

Please note that because the hands-on activities involved are such an important part of this workshop, the size of the group will be strictly limited.
