Please note as per current ECAWA Rules if you are a new member, your membership is pending until your membership is approved at the next committee meeting (usually the first Wednesday of the month). In the meantime, although you do not have voting rights, you can still enjoy all the benefits of PL on offer at member rates.

ECAWA no longer receives payment by PayPal.

Membership is available to:

  • Individual educators
  • Pre-service teachers
  • Retired educators
  • Schools and education organisations

If you represent a business that provides products or services to education, we’d love to discuss sponsorship opportunities.

Visit the Join or Renew page, select the membership that’s right for you, complete the online application and payment, and your application will be presented to the next ECAWA Committee meeting for approval. You can attend member events at member rates as soon as your payment is received.

Once your application and payment have been received, you’re welcome to attend ECAWA professional learning events at member pricing while your application is being processed.

Your membership becomes official once it has been approved by the ECAWA Committee. Voting and other governance rights begin after approval.

All ECAWA memberships expire on 30 September each year.

We’ll send you renewal reminders by email, through our website and on social media well before your membership expires.

To renew, simply return to the Join or Renew page, select your membership type and choose “I am renewing an existing ECAWA membership.”

If your membership expires, you’ll no longer receive member benefits or be able to exercise member voting and governance rights.

Don’t worry, we’ll send renewal reminders before your membership expires, and there’s a short grace period to renew.

If your membership has already lapsed, simply submit a new membership application.
