In this session, Vic Gecas will focus on how our perspectives on technology are formed and how we can interpret the trends wesee around us. These perspectives of technology and what we think is possible are a result of our personal backgrounds, where we are born and the environment we live, work and play in.

What does effective leadership mean when technology changes the game?

For many generations, students have put up with linear, undifferentiated and non-dynamic textbooks. ‘New’ textbooks are now cloud-based; fluid, differentiated, embedded and rich as the Internet. But how do we make it happen? What are the essential qualities of knowledge required by teachers for technology integration in their teaching?
