Breakout Presentation

Presented by

George Coldham
Vice Chair, Australian Computer Society, Western Australia

As the Professional Association and peak body representing Australia’s ICT sector, ACS’ mission is to deliver authoritative independent knowledge and insight into technology, build relevant technology capacity and capability in Australia and to be a catalyst for innovative creation and adoption of technology for the benefit of commerce, governments and society.

The rate of change within ICT increases year on year.  It is almost impossible to be an expert on every topic, let alone maintain a broad understanding of what is current, and what to look forwards to in the future.

Join George Coldham, Vice Chair of the Australian Computer Society WA as he guides you through the 2017 ACS Digital Pulse, an annual report discussing the state and 5 year future of the ICT Industry in Australia.

Learn about the 10 digital technologies disrupting Australian Business and Workers, and get an idea of some of the industries that the students you teach today will end up working in tomorrow.

Gain an understanding of the industries of the future and provide yourself with a rich arsenal of stories for your students when having the discussions around technology and how their entry level learning of today can build into a bright future as an ICT Professional.
