ECAWA Holiday Challenge – Winners!!
ECAWA, with Caitlin Bathgate and Andrea Conte, Managing Director of Fire Tech Australia have announced the winners of the ECAWA Holiday Challenge 2017 – Design a Digital Card Competition.
Congratulations to all those who entered. Your work is of a high standard and you can be proud of it! The judges commented that it was all very close, and very hard to judge for some year groups especially.
Winning students will be notified individually through their schools, as to how to collect prizes. Certificates of participation will also be sent to participating schools for distribution to students.
ECAWA is very grateful for the support of Fire Tech Australia in judging this competition and providing prizes for the winning students.

Year 8
Winner: Sophie Young, Santa Maria College
Comments: Great choice of colour, animation and picture selection. Can feel the Christmas happiness shining!
Santa Maria College – Watch out next year not to step on the foot of the copyright gods! I’d love to see students’ original film/photo/art as well 🙂

Winner: Jazmyn De Francesco, Ashdale Secondary College
Comments: A fabulous Christmas card, the winner for colour, font, choice of detail and theme. Congrats!
A close tie between Andy and Jazmyn. Jazmyn’s ice theme with colours patterns and stylish Christmas font choice is the winner.
Amazing submissions by Ashdale Secondary – very impressed with the variety of styles, time and effort put in. Also with the knowledge of image editing software – a great skill to explore and communicate with!

Ezra, Ashdale Secondary College – Your snowman is amazing, I’d love to see more character illustrations from this student, keep up the amazing designs!
Luke, Ashdale Secondary College – very nice layout and simplistic design, we definitely have a graphic designer in the making here.
Jackson, Ashdale Secondary College – amazing gradients! Especially on the baubles. Make your text a little bigger next time to grab more attention and keep up the amazing design work!
