Professor Kate Mitchem
Kate Mitchem is Professor and Edith L. Trees Endowed Chair in the Department of Early, Middle and Special Education at California University of PA.
Kate has worked on developing an EPSS (Electronic Performance Support Systems) for children with disabilities and challenging behaviours in multiple environments and multimedia case-based learning to prepare teachers to work with these children.
While appropriate for all, her work has focused mainly on effective practices and technology applications for supporting children with disabilities and challenging behaviors.
The tools and cases have been developed and tested through a series of U.S. Department of Education grant awards and the tools are available for free download at http://kidtools.org and http://strategytools.org.
