ECAWA on the Road 2009 - ICT, Your Money and Your Classroom is a project is made possible by a grant from the Australian Government Quality Teacher Program (AGQTP).
During Term 2 and Term 3 2009 the ECAWA team will visit a number of country centres around WA, bringing information about Consumer and Financial Literacy for students, as well as workshops for teachers.
Although some dates and venues have already been decided, ECAWA would also welcome your suggestions other of towns we might visit.
Watch this page for information about future events, or contact projects@ecawa.wa.edu.au for information about arranging a workshop in your town, to see how you might be involved, or to request a registration form for an advertised event.
The hosts need to provide a venue with spaces that will accommodate full group presentation for around twenty people, and at least two lines of concurrent workshops. Two data projectors and enough computers for the expected number of participants will be needed, and internet access for both presenters and participants will be quite important. There will need to be an area where the group can have morning and afternoon tea and lunch, which the ECAWA team will usually arrange to be delivered to the venue.
In many instances the school library or the ICT centre will be the most appropriate place for the workshops.
The local hosts are encouraged to promote the event to teachers in the nearby schools, across all sectors, and ECAWA will also promote the event as widely as possible.
The ECAWA team is very happy to incorporate workshops by local presenters into the programme.
