From time to time ECAWA hosts competitions and challenges to assist teachers to provide interesting, motivating and educationally sound activities for their students, so if you have an idea for such an activity that you’d like ECAWA coordinate, please let us know!

The ATOM PHOTO COMP

ATOM is taking 2023 to rebuild and refresh, then return in 2024 with an all new ATOM Photo Comp challenge.

Bebras Challenge

The Bebras Australia Computational Thinking Challenge  is an international student challenge whose goal is to promote computational thinking for teachers and students (ages 8-17 / school years 3-12).

Bebras is aligned with and supports Information and Communication Technology (ICT) curricula across Australia. Bebras Australia is run by CSIRO under the Digital Careers program, funded by the Australian Government.

The Bebras Challenge is a great way to get students interested and participating in information and communication technology (ICT) which could lead to an interest in pursuing a career in the exciting ICT industry!

Young ICT Explorers – YICTE

Young ICT Explorers (YICTE) is an open ended technology and innovation competition for Primary and High school students in school years 3 – 12 in Australia, where students enter technology related projects for the chance to win fantastic prizes and show case their ideas to the world.

The 2023 State competitions are now well underway.
