Meeting the Needs of 21st Century Learners:
Practical examples from the classroom

Many of us have read, watched, seen, met and even worked with some great thought provoking educational presenters from around the world, and have been challenged as to how we can meet the requirements by providing our students with the necessary 21st century life skills they need.

Have you ever wondered

  • How you might design practical steps to address these needs in the classroom?
  • How can we meet these needs in an on-going basis throughout the year?
  • Where can we fit this within an already crammed curriculum?
  • Is it even possible, given you are just one teacher in one classroom?

Join Michael for a journey to identify the skills 21st Century Learners require, what experiences students need to gain these skills and how we can mould our learning environments to provide the opportunities for students to have these experiences.

Michael will then walk through practical implementations of these learning environments, which he actively uses in classrooms today.

Intended Audience: All those concerned with Middle School, Secondary, Upper Secondary education

Michael Roche is Director of IT at Trinity College. He is a popular presenter as he takes concepts from world renowned education futurists (Jukes, Robinson, Mutra, Segav etc) and creates real world practical implementation models for use in the classroom. Michael then takes this one step further by using these models in his classrooms and reflects on their design and effectiveness when matched against educational outcomes.

Join Michael Roche at the ECAWA 2015 State Conference at Scotch College.
