A Great Opportunity and Resources!

Check out this opportunity – an initiative has been developed by a partnershipbetween ACCE – the Australian Council of Computers In Education, SAP, AIIA, Digital Careers and Intel.


Digital Careers is using this initiative to encourage students to participate in their Young ICT Explorers competition. Digital Careers will offer introductory PD sessions for teachers in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney in mid June but teachers may apply from any Australian school and do not need to attend the PD to participate.


  • Applications to participate in this initiative are now open, via the Digital Careers website at http://bit.ly/DC-intel-galileo-boards
  • Teachers will be required to submit applications by 15th May.
  • All applications be be reviewed by the Digital Careers team.
  • Notification of outcome and distribution of Galileo’s is anticipated by Friday 22nd May. All decisions are final.
  • Please note: There is a limit of five (5) Galileo boards per school.


Key dates for Young ICT Explorers are:

  • Project registrations are due by Wednesday the 24th of June.
  • Perth YICTE judging Saturday the 19th September
