PRESTON STREET ARTSPACE: DESIGN WORKSHOPS

Preston Street Artspace will be conducting two ‘Design Wise’workshops to assist teachers in the delivery of key syllabus areas applicable to Design.

Of particular relevance are:

• design principles and process
• (Design Course)
• design fundamentals
• (Materials Design & Technology)
• the principles of Art & Design
• (Visual Arts)

Developing a working understanding of aesthetics is critical for confident delivery of Design principles in the classroom.  The Design, MDT and Visual Arts courses of study require sound understanding of these principles. Preston Street Artspace is committed to advancing the understanding of the principles of Design through the following:

1. a maximum of 8 participants in each group
2. clear delivery by an experienced Visual Arts teacher
3. (WACOT registered)
4. stimulating sessions involving practical and theoretical
5. tasks
6. providing all materials
